We know sending students on a trip is a big decision, and you may have lots of questions. Below
you’ll find answers to the most common ones we receive from teachers, parents, and students.

Q: How much is the deposit?
A: A non-refundable down payment of 30% of the trip cost is due upon registration.
Q: When is the balance due?
A: The remaining 70% must be paid 30 days before the trip.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: The down payment is non-refundable. After the balance deadline (30 days before the trip), no refunds are available since reservations are finalized.
Q: Who supervises the students?
A: All trips are led by classroom teachers and supported by trained B&G staff. We maintain recommended adult-to-student ratios and provide 24/7 supervision.
Q: Do parents come on the trips?
A: No, parents do not travel as chaperones. Our trips are designed to help students gain independence while being fully supported by teachers and staff. Parents are kept informed before, during, and after the trip.
Q: What happens if there’s an emergency?
A: Safety is our top priority. Every trip has a detailed emergency response plan, and staff are trained in first aid, communication, and crisis procedures. Parents are contacted promptly if needed.
Q: What types of transportation do you use?
A: We only work with certified and insured transportation providers, including airlines and charter bus companies that meet strict safety standards.
Q: Where do students stay overnight?
A: Accommodations are carefully vetted for safety, cleanliness, and convenience. Teachers and staff stay with the students at the same location.
Q: What about meals?
A: Meals are planned in advance, and dietary needs are accommodated wherever possible. Parents can provide us with details during registration.
Q: How do I help my child get ready?
A: We provide packing lists, behavior guidelines, and preparation materials. Teachers also help students practice travel etiquette—when to listen, when to explore, and how to enjoy responsibly.
Q: What if my child has medical needs?
A: Parents provide all necessary medical information during registration. Teachers and staff aretrained to support students with medications, dietary needs, or medical concerns.
Q: Can adults participate in trips too?
A: Yes! In addition to student programs, B&G offers customizable trips for adult groups (colleagues, communities, or friends). These include a mix of structured activities and free time.
Q: What if something gets canceled or delayed?
A: Sometimes weather, closures, or other events force changes. Our experienced team is skilled at pivoting quickly to keep the trip safe, joyful, and on schedule. Students still enjoy a meaningful, exciting experience even if adjustments are needed.
